Who can participate?
The AI for Media Network is aimed at two target groups:
Firstly, to media makers operating in the DACH region who develop and implement AI applications in their organization – whether they come from the fields of journalism, product development and management, software development, or computational linguistics.
Secondly, to scientists who are researching AI applications and are interested in testing their research results in practice with journalistic partner organizations.
What will I gain from participating?
Know-how: Learn from proven experts how AI applications can be realized.
Contacts: The AI for Media Network is the perfect place to make valuable contacts with AI experts from journalism and science.
Solutions: The AI for Media Network aims to help its participants team up to develop AI products for their organizations.
How does it work?
The network is designed for the exchange of methods and knowledge. We organize regular in person meet-ups at which network members present AI use cases from their organizations and explain how they have implemented them.
Together with researchers, the AI + Automation Lab explores how journalists and scientists can work together on AI projects and benefit from each other.
For this purpose, the AI for Media Network regularly organizes workshops and hackathons where prototypes for AI applications are developed. In the future, formats for personal networking and conferences are planned.
Where and how often does the AI for Media Network meet?
We plan to meet four times a year in person at one of the meetup partners’ venues in Munich or another city.
A hackathon will take place once a year in Munich or other venues.
